We LOVE this wedding from our former intern, Natalie, and her new husband, Allen! These gorgeous images from Jordan Maunder Photography will make you swoon. And how cute is the new 128 South and Bakery 105 Cottage to get ready in? They’re having an open house for The Cottage this Thursday if you want to go check it out! Here’s a bit about the day from the bride, Natalie:

“Our wedding day took place at downtown Wilmington’s popular 128 South on a beautiful June day. The entire week leading up to that special Saturday was spent obsessively checking the weather forecast which was consistently calling for an all-day affair of rain and thunderstorms. However, to our great surprise the rain held off the entire day until around 8:30 when it was greatly appreciated as it helped cool down the hot dance floor!

We decided to keep the décor simple and classic because that’s what we felt like 128 South called for. Our color scheme consisted mainly of shades of white and navy blue, which we felt was a nod to the traditional side of ourselves. However, we certainly were able to add a touch of our own unique character. For example, our cake toppers were the most adorable bride and groom wooden gnomes that were hand-carved and painted in Asheville, North Carolina, a city very close to where we got engaged.  Also, I (Natalie) decided to do my own calligraphy for almost all the details of the wedding including the menu chalkboards, and the guest place cards which were all personalized rectangular marble tiles. I truly felt that if you walked into the dining room, anyone would know that it was definitely our wedding.

Our favorite part of the day was just being surrounded by the best family and friends. (Though Allen would argue that spending time with one of his groomsmen playing Legos the morning-of was a very close second.) Honestly, we had such a fun crowd from our twelve person wedding party to the entire guest list. The dance floor stayed crowded the entire night and it was so much fun seeing how happy everyone was to be together. From very early on in the planning, our main goal was for this to be a celebration of two families joining together, not just the two of us. It was evident that we accomplished that, and then some! The entire evening went by so quickly for us, so getting to re-live little parts through our beautiful photography that we didn’t necessarily see that night has been so special. The sparkler send-off was the perfect way to end the evening as the new Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers.”
